The Friends of St Giles’ was founded in the 1980’s to help raise funds for the repair and maintenance of St Giles.
It recognises that St Giles’ plays a significant role in the secular life of SE5, in particular through the development of community involvement in music and the arts.

Why your support matters
Your £25 annual membership will add your voice to our growing number of supporters and will add weight to our application for grants, which since 2000, has made possible three phases of significant restoration.
The church is now safe but there is much to do to enhance certain elements, which include significant external and internal features as well as the more mundane.
We are currently embarking on a £500,000 restoration project for the Organ, without which the musical legacy of the Church would be in jeopardy.
We want to make the church more accessible, providing better disabled access and improved toilets.
Proper catering facilities so we can put on more events.
Restoration of the clock, font, west doors and stonework repairs.
As a charity we can also collect Gift Aid so your annual membership of £25 would be worth £31.25 to us. Please let us know if you are a UK tax payer so we can claim the Gift Aid.
